Your business is one of a kind.
So why should your website look generic?
More than designing engaging websites that communicate your brand and drive clients to you, I want you to come out of our sessions empowered to maintain your new site and use it to grow your business.
Small businesses, artisans, and passionate creatives are the people that keep my city (good ol’ Boston) unique.
So I’ve made it my business to keep you in business.
That’s why I design (and teach you how to maintain) intuitive websites so you can focus on running the show.
Hello, I’m Lala.
I make memorable, delightful websites that drive business to my hardworking clients.
Ready to make a website that works for you?
Intuitive sites guide users toward your call to action, whether that’s getting clients to book your services, buy your book, or order a custom cake from you.
My training in user experience design means that I design websites that make sense to your user.

Project Cost: from $1200. 20% is due to confirm your project when the contract is signed and the final 80% is due at project completion.

After you email me your interest, we will have a 1 hour discovery call so I can learn what you’re looking for. During this call we will discuss your “brand,” ideal client, style, and your existing branding materials.
Once you sign the contract, I will begin ideating the design of your site and ask you for feedback. I’ll create the first draft of the site, ask for major feedback, and then present you with the final design.
We’ll go through one last final round of minor adjustments before your site goes live!
When I hand off the website to you, we’ll have one last chat where I show you how to use and update the site on your own.
-
A positive attitude, timely communication, and honest feedback. Websites are an iterative process — let’s have fun with it!
Before our first meeting, I’ll need you to gather the text, photos, logos, and branding material (color and typography choices) you’d like to use on the final website.
-

This is also the option for you if you bought a fancy Squarespace template but are now struggling to make it work for your needs.
I’m happy to work with you on designing a new layout, refreshing your branding (color, font, and copy), or migrating an existing site from another platform to Squarespace.

Have a unique project or need 1:1 consultation to get out of a jam?
-
Some clients have a business or practice that doesn’t neatly fit into the other services I offer. If you have a unique project in mind, let’s talk about it.
Additionally, I also consult clients who are stuck on certain elements of designing their site and provide my expertise on an hourly basis.
My background as a writer and social media manager place me in a unique intersection of knowing what a user looks for, as well as giving me a great eye for content and design.
As for the fun stuff? I speak 4 languages and have travelled to 36 countries across 5 continents.
You can find me reviewing Boston’s best restaurants, making pottery, writing about fashion, and laying around various parks reading in the summer.
My interests and personality inform my design choices, which is why I’d love to get to know you, too! Trust me, it’ll make for a better website.
FAQs

My practice is rooted in my background in User Experience Design and work as a writer. My UX training kicks in to make your site as intuitive as possible for the user while my writing skills help me craft your brand’s voice to create compelling messaging.
Otherwise, I’m personable and communicative, and I want to make this process fun and stress-free for both of us!

I’m a firm believer that Squarespace is the best site option for most business owners. Squarespace allows plenty of customization without the need for a technical (i.e. coding) background.
Once I’m done designing the site, you’ll be able to update and tweak it on your own. Designing a site on platforms more complex than Squarespace would require you keep me on hand, through retainer, to make minor updates as needed.
If you have the budget to maintain a more complex website, do reach out to me about your needs. I have a fullstack developer on hand and together, we can bring your vision to life (or, er, to web!).

Accessibility and equity are important to me, which is why I annually offer discounted services for a limited number of clients.
Please reach out to me regarding your situation and project, and I’ll be happy to see if I can take you on.
Please note that as a solo freelancer, this option is only available to a small number of clients per year.
